Flowing Water
The Flowing Water Cut represented a specific method of lightsaber combat focused on direct engagement with an adversary's blade. Its core concept centered around emulating the adaptability of flowing water; rather than pulling back when an opponent disengaged their saber, the practitioner would instead pursue the opponent's movement, delivering a strike through their body. The name of this technique comes from its similarity to how water fills an empty container.
During a lightsaber duel with the Dark Jedi named Sariss on the planet Ruusan, after their sabers had become locked together, Kyle Katarn employed this very technique (having learned it from the Force ghost of Tal) to achieve victory, ultimately ending her life with a deliberate and profound thrust into her torso.
