The Fluwhaka revolt took place within the final millennium of the Galactic Republic timeline, sometime after the year 896 BBY. Participants in this revolt included the re-emerged Black Knights, a group of dark side aligned Force-sensitives who had repeatedly resurfaced after their initial defeat at the hands of the Jedi early on during the New Sith Wars. The Jedi Order took notice of this uprising, which led to Yoda's involvement—at that point, he was a newly appointed Padawan. By 115 BBY, having reached the rank of Grand Master, he revised The Jedi Path: A Manual for Students of the Force, a Jedi trainee handbook, for subsequent editions that year, adding a note about the Black Knights' return during the Fluwhaka revolt, recalling it as an adventure he experienced. The name of the conflict was derived from the Outer Rim Territories planet called Fluwhaka.
The book The Jedi Path: A Manual for Students of the Force, a reference work penned by Daniel Wallace and released in 2010, contains the first mention of the Fluwhaka revolt.
