Force Stasis, which is also referred to as Force Stun, represented a Force power that possessed the capability to temporarily numb the senses and perceptions of a designated adversary, thereby hindering the majority of their movements. This technique was frequently employed by a Jedi when confronting a significant number of combatants or when the objective was to incapacitate an opponent for a sufficient duration to either escape from or capture them. The Jedi would utilize the Force to plunge the target into a state resembling catatonia to execute this ability. The effectiveness of this power could be resisted by individuals or creatures endowed with substantial willpower. Furthermore, it demonstrated inefficacy against droids and other non-organic entities. Despite its typical application against a solitary target, Kavar, a distinguished Jedi Master and renowned Guardian known for his proficiency in this power, achieved the feat of simultaneously stunning multiple individuals.

As a stronger iteration of Force Stun, Force Stasis involved the Jedi's manipulation of the Force to dull an enemy's senses, pushing them into a state akin to catatonia, essentially immobilizing the person or being. This ability proved particularly valuable when a Force-sensitive individual found themselves in difficult circumstances against a greater number of adversaries.

Representing the apex of Force Stun, Stasis Field was frequently mastered and utilized by Jedi Knights and Masters of higher standing. This power granted the Force user the capacity to briefly induce harmless catatonic states in numerous opponents concurrently, facilitating swift departures or circumventing prolonged conflicts against seemingly insurmountable odds. Moreover, this ability could be employed to completely avert combat if the user desired to apprehend or bypass adversaries rendered immobile by stasis.
