Force support

A support force, alternatively called a force support, was a unit within the Imperial Navy that reported to a systems admiral. These formations consisted of more than a hundred vessels, alongside ground-based storage facilities. Their duty involved providing necessities like munitions, consumables, replacement components, and various equipment items for force technical services, in addition to offering medical ships and droid services. Support forces did not possess any escort ships of their own; instead, they received an escort when traversing active war zones.
