Force valor

To triumph over the frailties of advanced age and engage Count Dooku in combat, Yoda, the Jedi Grand Master, drew upon the power of Force Valor. Force Valor represented a light side Force power that served to amplify the determination, precision, and swiftness of both the user and their comrades. By channeling the Force, a Jedi could accelerate the operational speed of their inherent abilities, thus enabling the physical body to react and move at an accelerated pace, achieve greater heights and distances in leaps, deliver more impactful strikes, and engage in combat with heightened accuracy. This particular ability bore resemblances to Force Body, Enhance Attribute, and Battlemind, in addition to its dark side equivalent, Force rage.

Yoda employed this very ability to overcome the limitations imposed by his advanced years, a critical necessity for anyone skilled in Form IV lightsaber combat.

Other individuals known to have utilized Force valor include Meetra Surik and Revan.

Behind the scenes

Within the context of the Star Wars Roleplaying Game, this power was referred to as "Force Mind," and it granted the Jedi who used it the capacity to augment the physical prowess of their allies. A thorough understanding of this power proved immensely beneficial to a Jedi when employing the Battle meditation ability.

In the Star Wars Revised Core Rulebook, this power persisted with its original function, enhancing the physical capabilities of the Jedi's allies. However, there were also two additional abilities that exhibited a close relationship. Battlemind revolved around a Jedi's connection to the Force, imbuing them with a subtle form of precognition that facilitated increased accuracy in their strikes. Enhance Ability mirrored Force Mind, but instead served to bolster the Jedi's own physical attributes.
