When new threads are created, they're automatically announced in the #announcements channel on Wookieepedia's Discord server. An administrator or a bot will archive all threads that are not pinned after they have been inactive for thirty days. Administrators may also archive a thread if the Consensus track for the thread is closed as either support or oppose via the consensus policy, or if the Senate Hall's original author requests for the thread to be closed after part one of a discussion has completed its Consensus track, with the intention to continue the discussion on a fresh Senate Hall in short order.
