FPC 6.7 Anti-Aircraft Battery

The FPC 6.7 Anti-Aircraft Battery, a creation of Golan Arms, served as a lightweight defensive weapon during the era of the Galactic Civil War.

Description

This turret, featuring twin, linked flak cannons, unleashed barrages of rounds designed to explode in the air. These rounds proved highly successful in eliminating smaller aerial vehicles, for instance, airspeeders. An integrated power generator ensured continued functionality even if the primary power source of a facility failed. The FPC 6.7 was engineered for swift relocation and could be assembled or disassembled rapidly. While typically requiring a crew of four – a gunner, a sensor operator, and two power regulation technicians – it could function with a minimum of two operators.

History

The Rebel Alliance widely deployed FPC 6.7 batteries, especially in the early stages of the Galactic Civil War. Its design aligned perfectly with the Alliance's requirement for easily deployable and retractable weaponry for their clandestine bases. These batteries were frequently and successfully used to obliterate formations of TIE/sa bombers as they attempted to bomb Alliance installations.
