The Frid were a sentient species originating from the planet called [Mackar],/article/mackar) and were adapted to aquatic environments. To avoid a devastating event on Mackar roughly five millennia prior to the Galactic Civil War, the Frid migrated to the [water](/article/water/legends]-dominated planet of Iskalon. Once there, they integrated into the Iskalonian School, which was a collective of various aquatic species who had journeyed to Iskalon with assistance from spacefaring benefactors. These fishlike beings possessed distinctive traits, including bulbous violet eyes, elongated flaps around their mouths, and green, scaled skin. Frid exhibited sexual dimorphism; males possessed head fins, a feature absent in females. Moreover, they could not speak physically, relying entirely on telepathy for communication. A defining characteristic of the Frid was their unwavering commitment to pacifism; they would not retaliate, even when subjected to aggression.
