Vimran Trell, a Yeoman aboard the Imperial Star Destroyer known as the Adjudicator, and also a skilled chef, once prepared this delicacy for a gathering held on the warship around 4 BBY. Among the attendees was Moff Renquet of the Galactic Empire. The meal made such an impression on Renquet that he subsequently arranged for the Adjudicator to become the flagship of his sector fleet.
The dish known as Fromirian roast queg originated from the Fromiria system, situated in the Outer Rim Territories' Mortex sector. During the reign of the Galactic Empire, Vimran Trell, a Human yeoman serving in the Imperial Navy aboard the Imperial I-class Star Destroyer Adjudicator](/article/liberator_(imperial_i-class)), prepared it. Trell was originally a trained gourmet chef from the Mortex sector world of Yutusk. He had been groomed to take over his father's small gourmet restaurant, but this plan was derailed by his unexpected conscription into the Imperial Military.
Around 4 BBY, the Adjudicator was scheduled to host a reception for several important figures, including Imperial Moff Renquet. As the warship's head chef was unavailable due to medical reasons at the time, Trell informed Captain Krin of the Adjudicator about his culinary skills. The yeoman then proceeded to create a meal for the reception, featuring Fromirian roast queg. Renquet was so impressed with the dish that he requested the Adjudicator be reassigned as the command flagship of his sector fleet.
After Trell had made contact with the Rebel Alliance and become a secret Rebel spy sometime after the Battle of Yavin, General Airen Cracken of the Human Alliance also sampled the Fromirian roast queg prepared by him. Cracken also enjoyed the meal and later mentioned it in a datafile entry detailing Rebel operatives, specifically Trell. Cracken further stated that the dish's quality justified Renquet's decision to make the Adjudicator his flagship.
David R. Tulo, Jr. and Ron Hodge were the creators of Fromirian roast queg, which first appeared in Cracken's Rebel Operatives, a 1994 sourcebook by West End Games for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.
