Vimran Trell, a Human hailing from the planet of Yutusk, was both a skilled chef and a Rebel spy during the era of the Galactic Civil War. He served the Rebellion by providing crucial information while stationed on the Star Destroyer known as the Adjudicator, around the time of 0 ABY.
Born on Yutusk to Francill and Tranira Trell, Vimran learned the culinary arts from his father, who envisioned him taking over their family's restaurant. Around 6 BBY, when the Empire invaded his home planet, Vimran was forcibly drafted into the Imperial military. He was then assigned to the Star Destroyer called the Adjudicator. He found himself on the Adjudicator as a replacement chef after his parents were killed during an Imperial crackdown on a peaceful, unarmed protest. Despite this tragedy, an Imperial Security Bureau review deemed Vimran still loyal to the Empire, compelling him to return to duty and miss his parents' funeral.
Approximately around 4 BBY, Captain Krin, the commander of the Adjudicator, hosted a reception for Moff Renquet and other important figures. When the ship's chef fell ill, Vimran stepped in, revealing his gourmet skills to the Captain, and was permitted to cater the event. Moff Renquet was exceptionally impressed with the food, particularly Vimran's Fromirian roast queg, and the crew. Consequently, the Adjudicator was reassigned as the command flagship for the entire sector.
During the following four years, Vimran and Captain Krin developed a friendship, leading to Vimran's appointment as Krin's personal cook and aide. He frequently attended staff meetings on the Adjudicator to provide food and beverages and handle minor administrative tasks. Secretly, he exploited these opportunities to transmit intelligence to the Rebellion as an act of vengeance against the Empire for the fate of his family.
Vimran carried a blaster pistol, a collection of cookbooks, and sixty credits.
Vimran Trell's character was conceived by David R. Tulo, Jr., in collaboration with Ron Hodge, for Cracken's Rebel Operatives, a supplement for the Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game published by West End Games in 1994. Brian Schomburg provided the illustrations.
