Frozen moon
A frozen moon traveled in orbit around a blue gas giant in the Unknown Regions, where it was the largest moon of its planet. The moon was home to extensive wildlife throughout its frozen oceans.
History
The moon housed a secret Imperial research facility conducting a cloning experiment commissioned by Grand Admiral Thrawn to create Force-sensitive clones from Sith and Jedi DNA. The experiment ended disastrously when the clones killed every one of the scientists and stormtroopers at the facility.The Empire never returned, and the surviving clones stayed on the moon until 41.5 ABY, when Jaden Korr was led there through a Force vision. He was followed by Anzat assassin Kell Douro, who was pursuing Korr over his soup. Korr dueled with and killed Alpha, a clone of Kam Solusar, while Khedryn Faal killed Douro. The remaining clones and their children then escaped aboard the assassin's ship.
Behind the scenes
According to the visions that first led Jaden Korr to the frozen moon, the escaped clones may have been cloned from Mara Jade, Lassin, or Lumiya. Along with these figures, the vision showed Kam Solusar, the source of the clone Alpha. One of the Doctors' holorecordings also mentioned Palpatine. The clones may additionally have originated from other Force users known to the Galactic Empire before Thrawn's death.
