The Fungus Pit, a cantina, existed in Bashka on the planet of Ryloth. This establishment was in operation towards the end of the era of the Galactic Republic.
As a favored hangout in Bashka, the Fungus Pit was a well known location. Cheib'Kalla, a Twi'lek, owned and managed the establishment, employing primarily attractive Twi'lek females as staff, a measure he took to shield them from slavers. Additionally, he employed three armored Besalisks, namely Dovoul, Jebbis, and Gatwer, as bouncers, along with the Kubaz Fitre as the resident bartender.
During the Clone Wars period, the heroes of Cularin made a stop at the Fungus Pit. While they were present, Noric Gestal, a Gotal slaver, along with approximately two dozen other slavers, tried to abduct the female Twi'lek employees with the intention of selling them into slavery. Nevertheless, the heroes, along with other patrons present in the bar, launched an assault on the slavers, successfully rescuing the Twi'leks.
