An FX-series medical droid called the FX-9 surgical assistant, also referred to as the FX-9, was created by Medtech Industries. One FX-9 provided a blood transfusion to the injured Sith Lord, Darth Vader, as he was being rebuilt following his duel against Obi-Wan Kenobi.
In a 2019 video titled "Every Droid in Star Wars" featured on StarWarsKids.com, the FX-9 surgical assistant was recognized as the FX-6 medical droid.
