G'Mai Duris was a Regent of Ord Cestus, and a female X'Ting who existed in the era of the Clone Wars. Her lineage was connected to the first hive queen, though the connection was not direct.
Approximately in 22 BBY, she was found by Obi-Wan Kenobi and Kit Fisto as they were trying to disrupt the alliance between Cestus Cybernetics and the Confederacy of Independent Systems.
Subsequently, G'Mai Duris faced numerous attempts on her life by her cousin Caiza Quill, who eventually succeeded in removing her from her regency. One such attempt involved Quill murdering Filian, Duris's romantic partner, in a formal duel that took place before the Hive Council.
