Gabriel Ian was a Rebel Alliance pilot of the male persuasion who fought in the Galactic Civil War era. After the Battle of Yavin which took place in 0 BBY, Adar Tallon gave a mission to a team of Rebels; they had to rescue Ian from the clutches of the Galactic Empire, who had taken him prisoner.
In the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, Gabriel Ian appeared as a non-player character. This massively multiplayer online roleplaying game was created by Sony Online Entertainment, and LucasArts served as its publisher before it shut down on December 15, 2011.
