Gahg
Gahg held the distinction of being the initial Finance Minister within the newly formed Galactic Empire. His appointment occurred in 19 BBY, shortly following the Empire's establishment at the conclusion of the Clone Wars. A primary responsibility early in his tenure involved managing the integration of territories formerly belonging to the Confederacy of Independent Systems, which were acquired after the Clone Wars ended. A progress update from Gahg was delivered by Mas Amedda, his assistant, to Palpatine, the Galactic Emperor, during a meeting; the report indicated that the annexation process was nearing its conclusion.
Behind the scenes
The character Gahg initially appeared in Star Wars: Dark Times, a comic book series. His introduction was within the first issue of The Path to Nowhere, a story arc that was released on November 8, 2006. The comic was penned by Randy Stradley under the pseudonym Mike Harrison. Subsequently, he was included in The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, which saw publication on December 9, 2008.
