Their responsibilities encompassed managing all public works projects and various governmental departments across Coruscant. Furthermore, it is believed they levied taxes to financially support other planetary institutions, for example, the Coruscant Police and the Coruscant Fire and Rescue service. Situated far beneath the Senate Building was an incident command center, used to manage crises that impacted Galactic City.
