Galactic Timeline represents a sequence of in-universe cinematic presentations, offering historical context for the Star Wars: The Old Republic game. These videos were originally hosted on swtor.com and took the form of archival entries within the Jedi Archives. They feature the narration of Jedi Master Gnost-Dural, who recounts the chronicles of both the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order.

The narrative unfolds in a regressive manner, commencing with the Treaty of Coruscant and then delving into the prior events that culminated in its signing; it encompasses periods such as the Jedi Civil War and the Old Sith Wars. Additional, but never produced, installments would have covered topics such as the Republic's genesis, the Second Great Schism, and would have concluded with the initial discovery of the Force upon Tython during the pre-Republic epoch.

The production of videos ceased after Timeline 12 in early 2011, because the material became progressively less pertinent to the game itself.
