The second iteration of the Galaxy Guide 6: Tramp Freighters is a supplementary book created for the Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, and it was brought to you by West End Games. Mark Rein-Hagen and Stewart Wieck are credited as the authors. Its initial release occurred in 1990, while this second version (with revisions by Eric S. Trautmann) saw publication in 1994.

Tramp Freighters details a multitude of rules for campaigns where players take on the roles of independent spacer and smuggler characters. These include rules for upgrading freighters, interacting with loan sharks, and trading both legal and illegal goods. A description of various planets and personalities within the Minos Cluster during the Galactic Civil War period is also present. Included are adventure seeds and a compact campaign composed of five adventures, all taking place in the Minos Cluster.
Imagine yourself as a free-trading individual, accountable only to yourself. You're moving cargo on your cherished vessel for a handsome profit, surrounded by your trusted companions. You're free from danger and any "complications," be they Imperial or otherwise.
Of course, it's not all simple. You'll have to outsmart Imperial Customs officials, fight off space pirates, deal with loan sharks and corrupt portmasters, overcome mechanical failures, and navigate a thousand other challenges that make your life interesting.
And somehow, you always find yourself entangled with that troublesome Rebellion...
Galaxy Guide 6: Tramp Freighters equips you with information about Imperial regulations, ship modifications, and the Minos Cluster, a region ripe with opportunities for free traders like you.
