Gamma Squad was a stormtrooper group that held control of Cloud City.
Gamma Squad was deployed to Cloud City in 3 ABY to assist Darth Vader as he attempted to capture Luke Skywalker. Certain members of the squad, together with the Imperial droid E-3PO, were assigned the job of aiding the city's Ugnaught engineers in modifying the carbon freezing chamber's chemical intermix ratio to allow for Human hibernation. During their work, the troopers started referring to E-3PO as "E-Gregious" due to his peculiar behavior, which led him to leave in anger. A few of the troopers were resting when C-3PO, in the belief that he had heard his friend R2-D2 enter the space they occupied, came into the room. To maintain secrecy, Corporal Drazin shot C-3PO, and his remains were disposed of in Cloud City's incineration facility.
