The Geroon Remnant represented a military division of the Vagaari, masquerading as the rightful Geroon government. This facade was constructed after the supposed desertion of their homeworld due to environmental contamination. The truth was that the Geroon Remnant was actually a clandestine element of a Vagaari Empire scheme. The Geroon homeworld was, in fact, already free, having been successfully liberated by the forces of the Chiss Ascendancy.
The group was allegedly formed following the Geroon's supposed collapse from Vagaari-induced pollution, forcing them to flee their planet. By approximately 22 ABY, they claimed their numbers had dwindled to a mere 60,000 individuals, able to be contained within a single transport vessel measuring 300 meters in length. The organization known as the Geroon Remnant was commanded by the individual holding the title of First Steward, Bearsh.
The truth of the matter was, however, that the Geroon Remnant existed as a mere deception, set up by a faction of Vagaari. Their objective was to secretly gain access to the Chaf Envoy with the ultimate goal of destroying the Outbound Flight.
