Geroon, situated within the Geroon system in the enigmatic Unknown Regions, served as the original homeworld for the Geroon species. Approximately in 27 BBY, the Vagaari launched an attack on the planet. As the Vagaari forces engaged in combat against the Geroon's defenders, the Chiss assault cruiser named Springhawk made its appearance, successfully seizing one of the Vagaari gravity field generators that had been deployed to hinder the Geroon's ability to escape into hyperspace. Following this, the Chiss departed, while the Vagaari successfully conquered the planet and enslaved its inhabitants, utilizing them as living shields on their warships.
After the Vagaari's conquest of the planet, Jorj Car'das, a Human smuggler, journeyed to their original world. There, he engaged in a meeting with the Miskara, the Vagaari's leader, aboard his ship. During this encounter, Car'das provided information regarding the Chiss's location, prompting the Vagaari to relocate to the Crustai system. However, in that system, the Vagaari met their destruction at the hands of Chiss droid starfighters, which precisely targeted the gaps in the Vagaari shields. Subsequently, Admiral Ar'alani of the Chiss Defense Fleet facilitated the return of the liberated Geroons to their home planet aboard a transport ship, after her forces liberated it.
In 22 ABY, during a reception dinner that took place on the Chiss diplomatic cruiser Chaf Envoy, Chaf'ees'aklaio, an Aide with the core name "Feesa," from the Fifth Ruling Family, told Dean Jinzler that wolvkils were, according to Bearsh, the First Steward of the Geroon Remnant—who was secretly a General in the Vagaari Empire—a wild subspecies of predatory animals native to Geroon. Jinzler was disgusted that they were kept as pets and voiced his desire to never encounter the creature in the wild. Feesa somberly reassured Jinzler that such an encounter was impossible, as the remaining wolvkils had perished with their planet.
