Gheyr was a Jedi Initiate of the female persuasion and a member of the Trandoshan species, alive during the time of the Republic Era.
The initial appearance of Gheyr took place in a flashback contained within Yoda 4, which is the fourth installment of the Star Wars: Yoda comic miniseries. Jody Houser served as the writer for this issue, while the illustrations were crafted by both Luke Ross and Nolan Woodard. Marvel Comics released the issue to the public on February 22, 2023. Before the comic was available, a post on StarWars.com displayed her image for the first time on November 10, 2022. Subsequently, her identification as Gheyr occurred in a separate post on the Marvel website on January 24, 2023.
