Moff Gideon's clones were envisioned as a clone army, the creation of Moff Gideon of the Imperial military, during the time of the New Republic Era. Gideon, having put substantial resources into cloning advancements, planned for his clones to be flawless, genetic carbon copies of himself, engineered with the Force abilities. Twenty Force-sensitive clones remained in a dormant state within tanks at an Imperial base situated on Mandalore; however, Din Djarin, the Mandalorian, annihilated them during the conflict on Mandalore, an event that greatly angered Gideon. Eventually, Gideon and his Imperial remnant suffered defeat in the final confrontation.
The initial appearance of Gideon's clones occurred in the Mandalorian episode entitled "Chapter 24: The Return."
