A Bosph with glyphs. Among the Bosph species, a glyph, specifically a rune-covered pendant, served as a declaration of ownership. Only Force-sensitive Bosph, known as Ela b'Yentarr, were permitted to use these glyphs. These Ela b'Yentarr also constituted the entire government on their homeworld of Bosph. Once a glyph was affixed to an object, the item immediately became the property of the glyph's owner. In cases of disputed ownership, Bosph would engage in duels, sometimes resulting in death, to resolve the claim. Items lacking a glyph were considered communal property, belonging equally to all Bosph. The smuggler Bora Boru, a Bosph, possessed such a glyph, using it to assert ownership over his vessel, the Bosphon Forever.
