The Gobindi virus initially came to light through the ancient Gobindi, an entire civilization extinguished by its rapid dissemination. Though a cure was found, the Gobindi couldn't apply it in time to save themselves. This virus, which flourished in warm, moist conditions, needed a fluid to transmit between hosts, limiting its contagiousness. Imperial researchers later devised a method for airborne transmission, weaponizing it. In its physical form, the virus looked like a miniature, horned eel, enveloping its host in a protective layer of green slime to sustain its environment. This slime-covered host remained mobile, inadvertently spreading the virus further. Ultimately, the Empire's scheme to deploy this virus as a weapon was thwarted.
