Gorak Palas
Gorak Palas functioned as an underboss for the Pyke Syndicate, overseeing their activities on the lunar surface of Toshara during 3 ABY.
Biography
During 3 ABY, inside Makal's, a cantina situated in Mirogana, Palas engaged in a meeting with an Imperial officer. This officer, speaking on behalf of Thorden, the Galactic Empire's governor of Toshara, cautioned Palas that Mirogana fell under Thorden's jurisdiction. Palas's response was to instruct one of his bodyguards to assassinate the officer. Following this, he instructed the disposal of the officer's body, and that Thorden should be informed that the Pyke Syndicate would not be increasing its payments. Subsequently, he observed Kay Vess, who had secretly entered his room during the meeting with the officer, seeking employment. While initially entertained and impressed by Vess's cleverness and resourcefulness, his amusement waned when she mentioned Waka as the person who had sent her his way. Consequently, he instructed his guards to remove her from the cantina, advising her to return once she had gained more experience within the syndicate world.
Behind the scenes
Gorak's initial appearance was in the 2024 video game Star Wars Outlaws, developed by Ubisoft's Massive Entertainment, with Alexander Crowther providing the character's voice. The sequence where Vess and Nix encounter Gorak on Toshara was captured using motion capture technology on June 14, 2022, marking the commencement of filming.
