Nandina of the Nightsisters, a Dathomiri Witch, possessed a rancor named Gorvo as a pet. This creature, referred to as he, mirrored his owner's ferocity, and was utterly devoted to protecting her.
Gorvo made his debut in the video game Star Wars Galaxies (2003), a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game. This game was created by Sony Online Entertainment and brought to the public by LucasArts. The game was discontinued on December 15, 2011. Gorvo's inclusion in the game was part of the "Axkva Min" Heroic Encounter, which was made available with the "Chapter 7" update released on November 1, 2007.
