Gree technology

Gree technological advancements formed the foundation of Gree civilization, managed by masters who were structured within guilds. Centered on material synthesis and matter-constructing devices, Gree tech, at its peak, encompassed stellar engineering, quanta-technology, dimensional engineering, and even extended to established hyperspace locations to facilitate instant travel utilizing hypergates.

During what the Gree referred to as the "most ancient and forgotten days"—their golden age hundreds of millennia in the past—they were profound technological pioneers. However, over the subsequent millennia, the crafter and researcher social classes diminished (ultimately becoming extinct by the era of the Galactic Empire). This left the Gree unable to innovate new technologies, forcing them to depend on the continuous maintenance of their progressively antiquated devices. As the Gree began to place greater importance on the accomplishments of their technology than on the capacity to advance it, they initiated a prolonged era of stagnation that persisted for thousands of years. Eventually, they lost the understanding necessary for technological advancement and reorganized their society to prioritize the conservation of their surviving technological artifacts. During the Old Sith Wars and the Inter-Sith Wars periods, the Gree commonly deployed droids developed by the crafter caste, specifically for warfare and communication with alien species. However, by the time of the Galactic Civil War, they had developed a disdain for droids, viewing them as an inferior technology that contradicted their reverence for individual skill. While not despising droids, they avoided interacting with them, considering them to be merely unattended, mobile computers without a master to control them.
