Greik held the rank of admiral within the Galactic Republic's naval fleet during the era of the Great Galactic War. Circa 3670 BBY, following the Sith Empire's triumph in the Seswenna sector, Greik became aware of an Imperial scheme to assault the Mid Rim planet of Bothawui. Attempting to get ahead of the Republic's enemies, Greik suggested the dangerous strategy of gathering the entire Republic Navy in orbit above the planet. This turned out to be a wise choice, and when the Imperial Navy's attack fleet engaged Bothawui, every Sith vessel was obliterated with only a few losses on the Republic side.
