Griebs Kishpaugh was a male Human who held the rank of Commander within the Grand Army of the Republic before later aligning himself with the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars.
To provide for his family, Kishpaugh enlisted in the Republic Military. His expectation was to stay within the local reserves; however, he found himself deployed off-world, separating him from his family. During 22 BBY, Kishpaugh chose to change his allegiance to the Confederacy of Independent Systems, enticed by the promise of credits, security against Republic reprisal, and the opportunity to return to his homeworld. Before Kishpaugh could flee in his shuttle with assistance from his pilot droid, Z-37, he was intercepted and apprehended by Clone Sergeant Banks. Kishpaugh was then taken into Republic custody.
