Grievous's computer virus

This newly created computer virus originated with the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the era of the Clone Wars. Upon gaining access to a starship's computer network, its capability was to disable all modes of communication.

The initial deployment of the virus was orchestrated by Confederate General Grievous, following the surreptitious placement of the virus aboard multiple vessels in the Galactic Republic's fleet by a Confederate agent. During the Battle of Kothlis, he triggered the virus remotely, disrupting all communication among the Republic's forces. Despite this, the Republic fleet maintained their offensive against the Confederate battleships, and their technicians successfully re-established communication by utilizing older crystal bio-anode systems, which remained unaffected by the virus. This development compelled the Confederate forces to retreat.
