These sizable beings shared ancestral ties with the yammosk and served the purposes of the shaper caste. Aspiring Shaper Initiates would frequently venture inside the grotto, where they underwent immersion in a liquid, followed by donning an oozhith. The grotto's telepathic prowess amplified every sensation experienced by the Shaper.
Following this, the initiates proceeded to a location within the chamber featuring a round aperture, essentially the creature's oral cavity. The shaper had to insert their hand into this mouth, whereupon pointed teeth pierced the flesh and grated against the bone. After a substantial bite into the body, the mouth twisted, severing the shaper's hand.
Subsequently, the shaper was obliged to navigate to a basin inside the grotto, housing a diminutive pool populated by the organisms destined to become Shaper hands.
