Grunda Dolma was an Aqualish from the Ualaq species who participated as a gladiator in a ritual battle. This battle took place in the Cauldron arena, located on the planet Rattatak, during 22 BBY. Count Dooku, the Sith Lord, was present at this event, seeking a new apprentice from among the combatants. Dolma fought with a double-headed staff to impress Dooku.
Before Dooku's arrival, Dolma battled Blorga, a Gamorrean gladiator. After the count arrived, Dolma then defeated Mantoid, a droid gladiator. When Asajj Ventress, a Dathomirian, entered the arena, the Aqualish and Blorga jointly prepared to engage her; however, Ventress used the Force to throw them back. Subsequently, Ventress won the battle and became Dooku's apprentice. Dolma had black hair and eyes, along with brown skin. While fighting in the Cauldron, the Aqualish was wearing a long, brown robe.
Grunda Dolma's initial appearance was in Star Wars: Clone Wars micro-series, specifically in Chapter 6, which was broadcast on November 14, 2003. The character's name was revealed in Ultimate Sticker Book: Star Wars: Clone Wars, a sticker book authored by Simon Beecroft that was published in 2004. In 2008, a figure labeled "Aqualish Warrior" within the Clone Wars set of Wizards of the Coast's Star Wars Miniatures roleplaying game bore a resemblance to Dolma, although there were differences in the colors of the clothing and hair.
