The designation Guide of the Closed Fist, often shortened to just the Guide, and initially known as the Guide of the Path of the Open Hand, or simply the Guide of the Open Hand or the Guide of the Path, was a position held by Marda Ro inside the Path of the Open Hand cult. This role empowered her to manage the cult's activities and its transformation into the Path of the Closed Fist. Elecia Zeveron, the Path's Mother, granted her this title following the creation of their biological weapon, the Leveler. Leveraging her authority, Marda Ro played a key role in instigating the Night of Sorrow, establishing the Path of the Closed Fist, and leading its adherents to assault the Jedi. Subsequently, Zeveron modified the title to 'Guide of the Closed Fist.'
