The Guiteica Militia functioned as a planetary military force on Guiteica, comprised of Bitthævrians and aligned with the m'Yalfor'ac Order. Its primary role was to enforce ongoing military control over the planet.
Approximately around 50 BBY, the Guiteica Militia launched a rebellion against the Galactic Republic, citing what they saw as the Republic's unwarranted involvement in the Kadok Regions. Following this uprising, the Republic manipulated public perception, fostering the belief among Republic-aligned species that Bitthævrians posed a significant danger. Ultimately, the Republic achieved victory, deploying an army composed of Jedi and Kaleesh. The m'Yalfor'ac Order, a major Bitthævrian army, inflicted casualties on several Jedi Knights before ultimately facing defeat.
The Militia underwent a complete reconstruction phase around 2 ABY, led by the charismatic Colonel Quaal Tavier Catharius of the m'Yalfor'ac. During this period, each continent contributed both equipment and personnel to the Militia, with each continent responsible for acquiring the necessary resources through any means available. The m'Yalfor'ac Order, constituting roughly 80% of the Militia's forces, was unequivocally recognized as the dominant organization.
Despite boasting a force of approximately 875,000 intensely devoted troops, the majority of their equipment consisted of outdated, previously utilized Republic weaponry.
During this era, the Militia engaged in guerrilla warfare against the Rebel Alliance, which they perceived as the successor to the despised Galactic Republic. However, they also targeted any Imperial vessels that entered Bitthævrian territory, much to the irritation of Moff Rhain Towith. The Militia harbored animosity towards Force-users due to their involvement in their past defeat, as well as Bothans for cultural reasons. They also ensured that mining operations on Guiteica remained under the control of Bitthævrian entities, rejecting any corporations backed by the Empire.
The Rebel Alliance regarded the Militia as a possible threat to their operations on Guiteica. However, despite their deep-seated hatred, their limited resources prevented them from posing a significant threat to the Rebel Alliance as a whole.
