In the course of the Battle of Kashyyyk, the village under Gumbaeki's leadership faced an assault from Trandoshan enslavers, leading to the capture of the majority of its residents. Seeking their liberation, Gumbaeki sought assistance from the Jedi Knights Quinlan Vos and Luminara Unduli, in conjunction with a number of their clone troopers. The subsequent rescue operation achieved its objective, largely attributed to the opportune arrival of Vilmarh Grahrk, who had been illicitly transporting supplies onto Kashyyyk for the benefit of the Wookiees.
While his destiny following the conflict remains uncertain, Vos speculated that he might potentially relocate his community into subterranean caverns to evade detection by the Imperials and their Trandoshan collaborators.
