H-3PO designated a title employed by the team of protocol droids belonging to Popara, the Hutt. These droids routinely exchanged updated information, which enabled them to synchronize tasks and missions while also staying in touch with their droid colleagues. To illustrate, H-3POA was provided to Vago for the purpose of conducting negotiations. H-3POB performed duties on Popara's private starship, the Imru Ootmian. In contrast to typical 3PO-series protocol droids, H-3PO droids possessed access systems capable of interpreting a spoken signal originating from a designated person. They featured sophisticated sensor arrays and communication networks, and were even equipped with built-in self-destruction capabilities.
