It took the offworlders a number of weeks to grasp the Sith society's power structure and successfully subvert it. Ajunta Pall, the Exiles' leader, ultimately beheaded King Graush using the king's personal war sword. Following Hakagram Graush's demise, Pall claimed the throne of King and designated his fellow Dark Jedi as the new Shadow Hands.
The initial mention of King Graush's second-in-command appeared in Evil Never Dies: The Sith Dynasties. Originally penned by Abel G. Peña as a Hyperspace exclusive, this article was later featured in the eighty-eighth issue of Star Wars Insider magazine. Daniel Wallace's 2012 reference book, Book of Sith: Secrets from the Dark Side, omitted any reference to Graush's Shadow Hand. However, the book does acknowledge the Jedi Exiles' dismantling of the Sith society from within.
