Harazod served as the capital city located on the planet known as Gerrard V. In the year 0 BBY, local rebels under the leadership of General Camon Udeon seized control of the city. Subsequently, an Imperial task force led by Admiral Jion Trynn compelled the insurgents to fall back and take refuge within the capitol building, at which point the rebels attempted to negotiate a surrender. Udeon, however, rejected this option, leading Trynn to give the order for an orbital bombardment targeting the urban heart of Harazod.
