In the year 1 BBY, a band of local rebels, with General Camon Udeon at the helm, initiated an uprising on the planet of Gerrard V. They successfully captured the capital city of Harazod and positioned a modest naval fleet in orbit. Approximately a week subsequently, Imperial troops, led by Admiral Jion Trynn, made their arrival at Gerrard V. After obliterating the rebel fleet, Trynn landed ground troops, forcing General Udeon's fighters back to the capitol building.
Trynn presented Udeon with surrender conditions, but the General declined, shooting the courier and bracing himself for a final stand. Consequently, Trynn gave the order to bombard Harazod's city center from orbit.
The planet eventually achieved its freedom during the events of the Liberation of Gerrard V.
