Haven played a significant role in the Galactic Civil War, functioning as the main base of operations for the Rebel Alliance within the Minos Cluster. In the year 3 ABY, not long after the Battle of Hoth, the Alliance Fleet gathered at a designated rendezvous point in close proximity to Haven. After his confrontation with Darth Vader on Bespin, Luke Skywalker was given his artificial hand while his ship was in orbit surrounding Haven.
