Employed as the primary bodyguard for Bequesh, the administrator of the shadowport called Tanquilla Beach, was Hella Brün, a Human female. Beginning her service in 12 BBY, she faithfully served Bequesh, accompanying him during his activities on the station and saving his life on multiple occasions. By the year 8 ABY, Brün had been in this role for two decades.
Hella Brün, a tall woman with defined features and a cautious smile, presented an image of boldness and self-assurance, though she was secretly shy. Consistent with her role as a bodyguard, she had training in the use of a blaster. Furthermore, she possessed skill in both close-quarters combat and unarmed combat, specializing in a martial art that focused on striking specific pressure points on an opponent's body to cause pain without lasting harm. Brün could be discreet when necessary, and she could utilize her abilities to intimidate others.
With knowledge of various alien species and cultures, Brün had a functional understanding of bureaucracy and was acquainted with the internal operations and commerce conducted on Tanquilla Beach. She was capable of operating the weapon and shield systems on capital ships, and she had experience with both security and demolitions. Brün was also known to gamble.
Brün was equipped with a blaster pistol for protection, along with a comlink and a datapad to assist her in her duties.
Hella Brün made an appearance in Shintel Downtime, which was the fourth RPG adventure featured in The DarkStryder Campaign. It was authored by Paul Sudlow and released in 1995.
