Hestia Tarleton resided on the planet of Lothal. This human female shared a striking similarity with Merei Spanjaf, another woman from the same world; however, Jix Hekyl held the opinion that she was "not as pretty." To buy Spanjaf some time when she faced potential repercussions for slicing that could expose her, Hekyl substituted Spanjaf's photograph with Tarleton's within the records of the Vocational School for Institutional Security. This action was intended to make identifying Spanjaf by any witness an impossibility.
Although Spanjaf had planned for Hekyl to revert the photo swap, he neglected to do so. As the Empire began to close in on Spanjaf due to her illicit actions, they mistakenly apprehended Tarleton. Nevertheless, it didn't take them long to realize their error, and Tarleton was subsequently freed.
