The title of High Shaman belonged to one of the three Force-sensitives that guided the wandering clans of the planet Zakuul prior to the coming of Valkorion and the establishment of the Eternal Empire. A Matriarch, a Champion, and a High Shaman were the leaders of each tribe. Following his unification of these tribes, Valkorion transformed these three roles into the Knights of Zakuul, which was an order of warriors who were sensitive to the Force.
