Anakin's vision of his future Holt Kazed, alternatively written as holt kazet, was the term the Nelvaanians used to describe the heroic figure known as Ghost Hand. According to their legends, this individual would appear during a period of significant crisis. The Nelvaanians came to the conclusion that Anakin Skywalker was this Holt Kazed, a belief stemming from the mechanical hand he possessed during the Clone Wars.
The legend stated that the Holt Kazed was a combatant who would lose a hand while fighting a formidable beast or monster. Subsequently, he would receive a replacement hand that would grant him immense power, enabling him to vanquish any foe. The prophecy foretold that the Holt Kazed would arrive among the Nelvaanian people during a time marked by great suffering and despair, when nature itself (the Great Mother planet) would be harmed or violently destabilized by a severe affliction—which the hero would ultimately cure. However, the legend also contained a somber, foreboding aspect. It predicted that the warrior's power would escalate to such an extreme degree that it would overwhelm him, cause the deaths of his comrades, choke his beloved, and ultimately completely devour the hero. Anakin Skywalker experiences the legend as a vision during his quest to heal the Great Mother. Upon careful examination, it becomes evident that the legend of Holt Kazed is, in reality, a prediction of Anakin's eventual transformation into the Sith Lord, Darth Vader.
