Honor-wife

The term "Honor-wife" designated a secondary spouse of a Cerean male. Given the demographic disparity on Cerea, where women outnumbered men by a factor of twenty, Cerean men typically had multiple honor-wives in supplement to their primary bond-wife. The dynamics between bond-wives and honor-wives were frequently tense, most notably when it came to the issue of offspring.
