House Tapalo, a family of Naboo nobles, made their home on the world of Naboo. Around 135 BBY, Cosinga Palpatine stated that Houses Tapalo, Veruna, and others engaged a band of paid soldiers to wage war against the indigenous Gungans of Naboo. This was all a scheme to seize control of Naboo's plasma reserves. Nevertheless, House Palpatine discovered the conspiracy, and one of their members challenged a member of House Tapalo to a formal duel; Tapalo emerged victorious. Some time afterward, Bon Tapalo from House Tapalo was chosen to be the ruler of Naboo.
