Huip was the closest celestial body to Beheboth, a star found within the Beheboth system. This star system resided in the Sanbra sector, which itself was part of the Trailing Sectors located in the Outer Rim Territories. Orbiting Beheboth, Huip, along with its more distant companion Brenu, was considered a sungrazing planetoid and possessed zero moons.
The initial mention of Huip occurred in "Return to Prosperity," which served as the debut article in the Planet Hoppers series, specifically within Beheboth: Blood and Water. Cory J. Herndon authored this piece, which was released on Wizards of the Coast's website on June 3, 2004. The 2009 publication The Essential Atlas situated the Beheboth system, and consequently Huip, within grid coordinate O-17.
