The Huxlings were a band of smugglers employed by Jerf Huxley around the time of 22 ABY. For the ten years prior to that year, they had been working solely for Talon Karrde; however, Karrde terminated this partnership when he shifted his focus to more legitimate business ventures. Mara Jade Skywalker informed Huxley of this decision, leading him and twenty Huxlings, including Bats, Fisk, and Sinker, to confront Jade Skywalker. Their goal was to force Karrde to provide a substantial severance payment.
The character Sinker was initially introduced in Timothy Zahn's Star Wars novel, Survivor's Quest, which was released in 2004.
